The most sociable running club for runners from the Delft area!

Our club has over 300 members; these are distributed among various running groups of different levels such as beginners, recreational, marathon and competitive runners. In addition to the running groups, there is also a hiking group each guided by a certified trainer. Training sessions are on wednesday and friday-evening 19:15 from SV Wippolder.

Trainings

What does a training of the Koplopers look like?
A training course usually consists of the following components:

  • warming-up
  • Running practice (training on technique)
  • Core training (according to the schedule the group follows)
  • Cooling-Down
On which days do the Koplopers offer training?
Training sessions are on wednesday and friday from 19:15 until 21:00.
because our groups leave at 19:15 the clubhouse will be open on time so you can also (if you wish) change clothes beforehand and leave your belongings during training.
During training, the changing rooms will be locked.
Try-out training

You can train with us for 4 weeks free of charge and without any abligation to see if our club suits you. Come to our club building on one of our training days at 19:00 in your running outfit, there will be plenty of time for a chat with a trainer and a short tour. Our groups leave at 19:15.

Where do the training sessions start?
As a base for training we use the clubhouse of SV Wippolder at Rijksstraatweg (next to Ranzijn tuin & dier) on the border of Delft and Delfgauw (Emerald). You can change there, take a shower and also use the canteen, so you can have a drink and chat after the training.
Do I run fast enough to keep up with the Koplopers?
Of course you do! for each type of runner we have a suitable group. Our trainers will be happy to help you find a good match. Come on one of our training days (Wednesday and Friday) around 19:00 drop by our clubhouse and ask for one of the trainers. They will be happy to help you find a suitable group for you that matches your level and ambitions. Wednesdays are best to join as Friday evenings are on average a bit quieter.
Is training in a group right for me?

Many of our members say that the social nature of training in a group provides extra motivation and sociability. Because nothing in life is really certain, you can try us out for 4 weeks to find out of AV The Koplopers suits you.
